Step 5: Pre-Booking Checks

Having selected your destinations, worked out an itinerary and identified accommodation options, now is a good time to check out some other basics, before making flight and accommodation reservations:

• Do you need a visa? If yes, do you have time to get one?
• Is your passport valid for at least 6months, from the time you plan to travel? Or, do you have time to get a new one?
• Do you have an International Drivers license if you plan to drive? Or, do you have time to get one?
• What vaccinations / medications might you need?
• Do you have travel insurance that covers the trip you want to make? If not, youmay want to check the cost and be ready to buy it, when you have booked your flight.
